Our online world is full of opportunities and risks.
At CW-E, we believe in the power that awareness and knowledge gives to people. That’s why we’re excited to bring TELUS Wise workshops to our Windsor-Essex family.
Created by TELUS in partnership with the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP), MediaSmarts, PREVNet, the Amanda Todd Legacy, the Canadian Center for Child Protection and CIFAR, TELUS Wise is a free digital literacy program designed to help people of all ages build confidence and stay safe online.
From protecting your privacy and avoiding scams to managing screen time and navigating social media, these sessions offer practical tools for everyday life.
With workshops tailored for kids, teens, parents, adults, and seniors, there’s something for everyone:
-
Youth sessions explore digital footprints, cyberbullying, and online reputation.
-
Parent and adult workshops cover screen time, gaming, online safety, and protecting personal data.
-
Senior-focused sessions provide fraud prevention tips and support safe, confident technology use.
All of our sessions are led by our own certified TELUS Wise Ambassadors, and with advanced booking, we can submit a request for a police constable to attend the workshop. Their real-world experience brings local insight to the presentation.
TELUS Wise is a great program and we are thrilled to be a part of helping our community stay safe online.
