Our region is experiencing unprecedented growth post-pandemic, with Windsor-Essex witnessing exponential expansion. In this dynamic landscape, CWE recognizes its pivotal role in facilitating connectivity, ensuring security, and fostering innovation- cornerstones of our community’s prosperity.
Under new leadership, CWE underwent a complete overhaul, driven by a concerted effort to address critical areas impacting everyone across the region. In working collaboratively with our Board of Directors, consortium members, committees, vendor partner ecosystem, and the community at large, we identified a number of challenges we still face in our community. One such challenge is the continued lack of access to affordable high-speed internet connectivity across our rural community. The concept of the digital divide is not just a buzz term; it is a real-life challenge for many folks in Windsor-Essex. This issue not only impacts our public sector organizations but also hinders the overall growth and prosperity of our region. It is a stark reminder of the importance of our mission to continue making strides with all levels of government and industry. Together, we must work towards strengthening robust infrastructure to bridge this gap and ensure that every individual in Windsor-Essex has access to the resources they need to thrive in the digital age.
